Of course, we're dancing every day. I'm also meeting with my friends, and enjoying the lovely relaxed culture of the Porteno's. It is hard to describe, but enjoying life is of paramount importance to the citizens of Buenos Aires. When you are down here, it is all about conversation, enjoying each other, enjoying a dance, enjoying the music - as long as you are happy. So we have been eating Bife de Lomo and empanadas with Vino Tinto under the BA moon, while we discuss the world's problems and tell jokes - then we share our souls in a dance. During the day we poke into stores, laugh with the storekeepers, take a dance lesson, relax with a Cafe con Leche, and walk down the purple-covered avenues-the Jacaranda trees are dropping their blossoms. Occasionally we hear a tango coming out of a storefront window or a parked car's radio, and we can't help but dance a little in the street, to the immense joy of the Portenos. On Sunday we performed at a Feria outside of town - the crowd went wild and hugged and kissed us as if we were straight out of Corrientes (BA's Broadway). The weather has been beautiful, sunny, 75 to 85 degrees, and gardenias perfume the air. At least until we were invited by a friend to go sailing on Saturday, when we had torrential rain. So we sat in the marina and laughed, then went to a milonga where they danced a lot of Canyengue and we had two bottles of Champagne to celebrate that we were alive."Lois's tango journal, 2009
