Private Dance Lessons

Private lessons with Lois are a great way to jump start your dance, and are an essential part of your complete dance instruction.

It is said that the value of a private lesson is about the same as 5 group lessons.  A great value is to take a private lesson within two days of a group lesson, so you and your teacher can address any specific concerns and issues.  Bring your videocamera!

What you can expect in a private lesson:

• The teacher will dance with you (and your partner, if you have one).  She will bring up aspects of your dance that can only be discerned by your partner.
• In group lessons, a student can overcorrect or undercorrect, or misunderstand the instruction given by the teacher.  In a private lesson setting, these problems can be addressed quickly and corrected before they get to be ingrained habits.
• The teacher can pinpoint issues and assets that relate to you and your style, and bring out the best of your own style.
  
• You will get several things to work on (homework!).  Doing your homework will jumpstart your dance to the level of skill and excellence that will help you to attain your dance goals as quickly as possible.
• You will get the advantage of dancing with a skilled partner.  This will allow you to practice some of your more advanced moves, before you take them to the floor.
• You can work at the pace that you like, on the specific issues you have, in the manner that works best your you. You can work on several dances, too!
  

These are only some of the advantages.  When purchased in a group of lessons, or shared with a partner, group lessons are very affordable.  If you would like to learn from a couple, you can arrange this when you schedule your lessons.
