A mini workshop weekend and a Milonguero Style Tango EncuentroSouth of the South! North of Expectations! Classes would be focused on those who want to improve their technique with Milonguero style tango. No matter what style of Argentine Tango that you enjoy, you will benefit from learning the authentic social dance the way it is danced in the clubs of Buenos Aires. Sat, Jan 17th, 2015 Classes: "Nailing the Endings" End with a great pose, and she'll forgive any crap in the middle . Focus on: * Predicting the end of the song (musicality!) * Cool poses * Practicing the possiilities * Tricks and shortcuts until it's second nature * Taking advantage of the leader's position. Extreme Basics - Estillo Milonguero, the embrace, floorcraft. The spontaneous creation of steps in milonguero style techniques and methods: How to create spontaneous figures in the milonguero style through management of energy and exploiting the follower's position and elements in the music Women's embellishments. Every day! A class, followed by a Practica, followed by a Milonga, in a beautiful setting. Fri - Class at 6 PM, Practica at 7:30 PM, Milonga 9 to 12 Sat Class at 1:30 PM Practica at 3 PM. SUMMARY: Whether it be primarily dynamic, energetic, romantic or sweet, milonguero-style tango is an expression of the body for the moment. As the environment is unpredictable, the dancer must react instinctively and instantaneously. The goal is for the dancer, without using a set pattern, to attain the freedom of finding his body in space, taking note of his position, and instantly being able to generate any number of milonguero figures that suit the mood, the music and the environment.
